The South Florida metropolitan area, more commonly known as South Florida, and officially the Miami–Fort Lauderdale–Pompano Beach Metropolitan Area encompasses a three-county area of the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Florida. The metropolitan area covers the counties of Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach. The three counties are the three most populous in Florida.

The term South Florida is roughly synonymous with Gold Coast. The principal cities include Miami, which current has over 300 properties for sale with an average asking price of $314,000.  Fort Lauderdale currently lists 228 properties on the market with an average listing price of $$260,000 and West Palm Beach with 81 listings with an avg listing price of $426,000. The Florida Keys are also included in the metropolitan area at times.
